Overview
The Mathematics Department aims to provide students with the necessary skills not only to pass examinations but also to enjoy learning Mathematics. We allow students to explore Mathematics beyond the confines of the textbooks through the use of manipulatives, ICT tools and mathematics projects. The broad range of enrichment programmes offered to students include Algegym, Math Clinics, Math Activity Day and Talent Development Programme and national competitions. We hope to equip our students with a good foundation in the subject and develop them to become competent life-long learners.

Sec 1 Bridging Programme |
Secondary 1 students with foundation mathematics are selected for this programme to bridge their learning gaps. This programme runs for 10 sessions which are conducted once a week. |

Sec 2 Algebra Gym |
The Sec 2 Algebra Gym focuses on helping students develop a solid foundation in algebra, an essential component of mathematics that is required in upper secondary. |

Math Activity Day |
Students discover the joy of learning through taking part in a series of activities by applying their mathematical skills in real life situations. Games stations were designed by designed by the Math Champs in the Maths Talent Development Programme. At the stations, students experience the applied learning of Math such as observing patterns and estimation. The students will work in teams and have fun with mathematics at different stations |

Our school participated in the All Singapore Mathematics Competition and the upper secondary team comprising 3 girls clinched the third place in the competition. One of the girls, Vivian also clinched the 8th position in the individual category! |
