Overview
Physical education in Tanglin aims to develop students’ physical, cognitive, aesthetic, social and moral domains and equip them with the skills and knowledge to pursue and enjoy a physically active and healthy lifestyle.

The track and field championship was established with the following objectives in mind:

2 | Tanglin Secondary Virtual Road Run | The objectives of the virtual road run is very much similar to the annual track and field championships with the added objectives of creating bonding moments through the activity between our students, their family and the school. The annual activity also serves as a platform to raise environmental awareness and other educational objectives such as national education or citizenship inculcation. |
3 | Tanglin Secondary Inter-Class Games | The Inter-class games is a major pastoral and extra-curricular component of the school which develops students’ social, team-work and organisational skills. The House system aims to reflect the ethos of the school; Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Care and Curiosity to learn – and we try to develop this by fostering a sense of community, awareness of each other and a sense of being part of a team. |
4 | Sports Education Programme |
In line with the school’s effort to promote a sporting culture among our students, the school organises a Sports Education Programme (SEP) for our students. SEP is also a compulsory Post Examination Activity for ALL Secondary 1 – 3 students. The objective of Sports Education Programme (SEP) is to expose our students to various sports, encourage sports participation and increase sporting opportunities for our students. |
